COMECA is a project of the National Association of Medical Examiners' Data Committee. The purpose of COMECA is to provide information about, and  to coordinate various activities of  medical examiners, coroners, and various organizations and agencies which work with medical examiners and coroners on  projects of importance to the public health, criminal justice, medical, and public safety communities. COMECA serves as a library of information and also  is a coordinating center through which referrals to needed sources of information may be obtained for research or other projects and programs.
