Death Investigation Systems       

              Each state has its own laws that describe the type of death investigation
              system within the state. Death investigation systems are usually set up
              on a county, district, or state wide bases. Some states have coroner
              systems, others have medical examiner systems, and others have
              both types.  The map below show the types of systems in each state.
