Below are descriptions of deceased individuals whom the FCME has not been able to identify. For some of the individuals, photographs or sketches of the face (or facial reconstructions) are available to assist with identification. If you have any information that may lead to the identification of one of the deceased individuals described below, please contact the Fulton County Medical Examiner at 404-730-4400 and ask for the Investigations Division.
Below is information for unidentified decedents managed by FCME between 1995 through 2002. Please remember that facial reconstructions are prone to error, showing some artistic license, and may not resemble the individual in question-- especially regarding hair color/pattern/distribution. at Grady Hospital after about 3 weeks of hospitalization.
Had on his person identification that was not his and apparently
was that of someone whose wallet was stolen or lost. Died as the result of
bleeding in his brain caused by cocaine use.

biological relative of unidentified skeletal remains of a black female who was
found in Screven Co., Georgia.

Circumstances: These partially buried, skeletonized remains were
discovered on 2/23/00 by an engineer walking through wooded property near a
cul-de-sac on Emerald Pointe Circle, South Fulton County. The property on
which these remains were found was being prepared for survey and
construction.

birth 1943-1963)

Weight: Approximately 150-180 lbs.
Head hair: Black, coarse, and curled, tinged with grey
Eyes: Unknown, likely brown
Tattoos/Identifying marks: Wire suture material was in the abdominal
wall, as was green suture material. Several upper and lower rear teeth had
been extracted while this individual was alive, and two teeth had
fillings. The rest of the teeth were in relatively good condition, with no
cavities.
Clothing: Numerous articles of clothing and personal effects
accompanied the body, including a small box containing a small amount of
apparent cremated remains. The following items were on the body: an
XL t-shirt having "America's Favorites for Magic Johnson T's" on the
tag; a pair of black nylon sweatpants having grey or white stripes down the side
of each leg; and size 34 jockey-style underwear by "BVD."
Circumstances: The skeletal remains of this unidentified black male
were found on 5/18/00 in a closet of a vacant building at 3233 Mt. Gilead Rd, SW (Building
#97), Atlanta, GA by a construction worker. It appeared that the
individual resided in a closet of this building. Accompanying the body
were numerous articles of clothing and disposable personal care items.
Also with the body was an apparently unread newspaper (Atlanta Constitution)
dated 6/12/98. Reportedly, drug-related items were at the scene. The
individual appeared to be homeless.

suspected crack cocaine bag, found in wooded area on 2/4/01 on Maynard Court,
Atlanta, GA, near Charlie Brown Airport.

Circumstances:
The decedent's body was found by City
of Atlanta sewer workers on 9/10/2002 when they unsealed a manhole cover at 415
Kildaire Avenue, Atlanta, that was reportedly paved over in March 1991.

black moustache with a patch of black hair on the chin.

Tattoos/Identifying marks: A brown "birthmark" (macule) is on the left
cheek.
Clothing: A green "GAP" t-shirt, size XL. Blue cargo shorts
by "Abercrombie/Fitch", size large. A yellow butane lighter is with the
body.
Circumstances: On 10/6/2002, this unidentified individual was found
dead in an apartment building under renovation (132 Fairfield Place, NW,
Atlanta) by a construction subcontractor. The deceased, known only as
"Kid", had been hired by property management to provide night/weekend security.
The deceased had been staying in one of the apartments, the door of which
appeared to have been forced open. The deceased died of gunshot wounds.

Circumstances: Skeletal remains were found in a wooded area
adjacent to Charlie Brown Airport, off of Fulton Industrial Blvd., Atlanta, GA
in October of 2002. Reportedly, an individual who has been in custody for
several years admits to having killed and left a white female in this area in
1993; some of these reported facts are consistent with observations made at the
scene and in the examination of the remains. The inmate reports that this
female was picked up at The Alamo on Metropolitan Parkway (formerly Stewart
Avenue) and thinks that she may have been called "Bodine."
